Hyatt lands on the Gran Via in Madrid
The agreement between Hyatt Hotels and Exacorp One will open a luxury hotel on the Gran Vía in Madrid. An alliance that comes nine years after one of the big luxury hotel chains abandoned the management of the Hotel Villa Magna.
The future Hyatt Centric is scheduled to open in 2018, with a total of 159 rooms and a reference restaurant called ‘Ice and Coal’.

EasyHotel arrives in Fira Barcelona
The British chain EasyHotel lands in Spain. It will be in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona), a few minutes from the Fira de Barcelona and very close to the airport of Prat.
The construction work of the first EasyHotel in our country will culminate in 2018. The building, located on the Gran Via in Barcelona, will have an investment of 15 million euros.
This new 204-room hotel will compete with luxury establishments such as Hotel Porta Fira, Renaissance Barcelona or Hotel Hesperia Tower. Flagship hotels in a reference area for business such as the Economic District.
Marriot debuts ‘The Barcelona Edition’
Political obstacles have been a barrier to the arrival of new hotel chains. However, there are still outstanding projects to open in Barcelona.
