To test this approach the 26th edition of the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week is going to be held from 26th to 29th of April in the “Fira de Barcelona”. A bridal event with parades, news of the big brands, professional conferences and events which are open to general public all around the city.

Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2016
Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week have been, for decades, one of the most important events in the sector. An event in which this year are going to be 24 parades featuring national and international designers and will be held with their collections for the 2017 season.

The ‘millennial’ generation up to the altar
Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2016 will begin with the presentation of an important report for the sector. It is the study by José Luis Nueno, professor at the IESE Business School, and entitled ‘Millennial brides, born in the 80’s, married today’.
This generation, born between 1983 and 2000, approaching the altar without skimping on anything and exploiting new markets among Asian countries, especially China.
The report helps to understand how the bridal spending is distributed. In Spain, for example, a wedding budget is around 16.500 euros.
The wedding industry is a gem among events. A sector in our country which has an annual turnover of 1.246 million euros and which produces 755.000 dresses a year which are ‘Made in Spain’.
